Düsseldorf, 18th July 2018 - The Board and General Assembly of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) have decided to end cooperation with the EPAL CEO, Martin Leibrandt. He left EPAL after more than 6 years on 30/06/2018.

The Board and the representatives of the National Committees of the European Pallet Association e.V. (EPAL) met on 28th and 29th June 2018 in the Slovenian capital, Ljubljana. The Ordinary Board Meeting took place on 28th June, and the General Assembly was held a day later.

Materials manufacturer, Covestro Deutschland AG starts first trial with 5,000 quality-tested EPAL CP pallets at European locations

The first large chemicals company, Covestro, is planning to deploy the new independently tested EPAL CP pallets as their load carriers. Before starting to use them, the newly licensed EPAL CP pallets will be tested in a trial at Covestro’s European locations.

The Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics IML and the European Pallet Association e.V (EPAL) are developing the load carriers of the future at the newest Enterprise Lab in Dortmund (Germany). The first application of the interactive pallet was made public by the partners at LogiMAT 2018.
